COMPLEJO TERMOELÉCTRICO BAJO GRANDE
A orillas del Lago de Maracaibo, núcleo colector de todos los ríos del Estado Zulia (Venezuela) se encuentran, una población y un puerto, ambos llamados Bajo Grande. La planta pretende garantizar el suministro de combustible a toda la zona de occidente en favor de una población aproximada de 3. 700.000 habitantes (Censo 2011).
Para apoyarlos en su labor de suministro de energía eléctrica, CIELEMCA C.A., cuyo Director es el Ingeniero Blas Herrera Pérez, instaló (2010-2012), en el Centro de Distribución de Combustible Bajo Grande, dos turbogeneradores aeroderivados cercanos a los sitios de despacho de combustible y una línea adicional para conectarse con la existente.
Las centrales termoeléctricas, utilizan combustibles fósiles (gas natural, carbón o fueloil) para generar energía eléctrica mediante un ciclo termodinámico de agua-vapor. El mecanismo principal de la energía termoeléctrica se basa en usar el calor para aumentar la temperatura de un fluido (en muchos casos agua) hasta que esta se evapora. El vapor liberado activa una turbina, la cual comienza a girar. De esta manera, la energía térmica se convierte en cinética (energía del movimiento) (Wikipedia).
En este importante proyecto que ahora disfruta el pueblo venezolano, la empresa CIELEMCA C.A. tuvo a su cargo la gerencia, suministro de equipos, desarrollo de la ingeniería de detalles, construcción, prueba y puesta en marcha de la obra.
Es apropiado recordar a CIELEMCA C.A., una empresa venezolana fundada en 1974, cuenta con la más alta tecnología y el talento humano. Su Presidente, el Ingeniero Blas Herrera Pérez, hoy puede hablar con orgullo de 43 años de trabajo, traducidos en: 2.190 Km de Líneas de transmisión, 19 Sub-estaciones eléctricas, 3 Plantas de Generación Eléctrica y 8 Transformadores de potencia. Venezuela agradece que su empresa y su energía se hayan convertido en bienestar para los venezolanos.
