SISTEMA DE TRANSMISIÓN DEL ESTADO SUCRE
Sucre es un Estado privilegiado que ahora, gracias a la empresa CIELEMCA C.A. dispone de un sistema eléctrico de distribución que potenciará su desarrollo y beneficiará a un millón de habitantes, aproximadamente, según los datos del último censo (2011).
Cumaná, la Capital del Estado, es famosa por sus playas y, por tanto, atracción turística, además ser la cuna natal del prócer Antonio José de Sucre. Por su parte, Carúpano fue el primer puerto en tener un cable submarino, que todavía se conserva como parte de su historia. Pero el público lo recuerda por su famoso Carnaval Turístico y económicamente hablando, en la localidad turística de Güira se descubrió una de las reservas de gas más importante del mundo.
El Estado está flanqueado por dos golfos: Golfo de Paria (Este) y Golfo de Cariaco (Oeste). Al sur limita con los Estados Anzoátegui y Monagas. Al Norte con el esplendoroso Mar Caribe. Es el mismo territorio que tocó Cristóbal Colón al arribar a América y que llamó “Tierra de Gracia” impresionado ente la riqueza de la flora, sus costas y el agua límpida de sus playas. (Wikipedia)
Gracias a la obra (2005-2017) realizada por CIELEMCA C.A. bajo la dirección del prestigioso Ingeniero Blas Herrera Pérez, el Estado Sucre ahora cuenta con siete subestaciones eléctricas más (dos de ellas ampliadas y cinco nuevas), cinco líneas de transmisión (las dos primeras (300 Kms) unen a las S-E Guanta II, Cumaná II, Casanay y Güira y las tres restantes (180 Kms) unen a las sub-estaciones de Sucre, Ayacucho, Güira, Carúpano e Irapa.)
